Stanford Hall - The former co-operative college.
Built in the 18th century and former home to a sherrif of Nottingham the Coöperative College was bought from Sir Julian Cahn in 1944 as a memorial to the Rochdale Pioneers. As the movement increased in size and decreased in numbers the powers that be decided that course delivery could be done better and cheaper by using cconference facilities in other places and the college was sold.
The future of Stanford Hall is now uncertain.
